But power is just the beginning The Edge A2 is an incredibly sophisticated device that is an in-cab controller, provides Award-Winning TomTom GPS Software with preloaded maps of the U.S., and an optional back up camera. The Edge Juice is a completely weatherproof module that easily installs underneath the hood. With the addition of the Attitude monitor you can add five levels of adjustable power ranging - from 30 to 120 horsepower* - and increase torque up to 275 foot pounds*. The Juice greatly improves responsiveness and driveability, while at the same time increasing fuel economy.
The Juice communicates along the engine:s CAN-BUS data stream, from which it receives vital engine, transmission, and fuel system information. This enables the Juice to provide smooth and precise power curves that are truly custom, rather than just an offset from stock.
The Juice also monitors the transmission slippage when the torque converter clutch is engaged. The power level is decreased if any slippage is detected. This prevents damage from being caused to the transmission, and also prevents the power train from erroneously generating fault codes and entering €ślimp mode€ť.
The Juice also limits the amount of power increase during transmission shifts when the torque converter clutch is engaged and also when the torque converter clutch is being engaged. This allows the torque converter clutch to engage without slippage causing €ślimp mode€ť.
When the torque converter clutch is engaged, fifth gear on the Allison 1000 transmission will hold about 680 foot pounds of torque before slipping. The Juice module is an add-on Engine Control Module for the Duramax engine that offers additional features not available with the factory setup. Since it is an add-on ECM, it uses all the factory data and then enhances the factory settings to optimize your truck’s performance.
The Juice features engine temperature monitoring and power increase from the Juice module as engine reaches operating temperature. With four selectable power levels via an in-cab position switch, the Juice module offers a large power increase over stock throughout the RPR range, but the power is more noticeable in the midrange RPM’s. This greatly improves driveability and towing performance. Transmission downshifting is greatly reduced, especially while passing or towing.
The Juice also regulates power delivery and timing based on engine temperature. This means that while the engine temperature is below 130 degrees Fahrenheit, no additional fueling or timing is delivered. Over 130 degrees, the module begins modifying timing and delivering fuel at 50% of the calculated additional fuel, and the percentage increases as the engine temperature increases, until at full engine temperature the Juice delivers 100% of the calculated additional fuel.
The Juice alone provides the following power gains with toggle switch:

The Juice module is a completely weatherproof module that installs underneath the hood. Using factory-style connections in just 30 minutes you can add five levels of adjustable power ranging from 30 to 100 horsepower and increase torque up to 200 ft. lbs. The Juice greatly improves responsiveness and driveability, while at the same time increasing fuel economy. The Turbo Timer is the latest in a long list of Edge safeguards. This feature prolongs turbo life by allowing the truck to run after shut-off for a predetermined time or until a specific EGT is reached.
When used in conjunction with the Attitude monitor you can control the six power levels on the fly from inside your truck. The Attitude displays all the information a set of gauges would and will automatically monitor exhaust gas temperature (EGT) and de-fuel the engine to prevent excessive EGT. Imagine one simple 30-40 minute installation and you get incredible power gains, an increase in mileage and the equivalent of a complete set of gauges!
