Race Pro is achieved by attaching this box to the Bosch fuel pump wire and into the ISB engine data port as well as to the turbo boost sensor plug. You can select from 5 different power settings from 40 to 120 rear wheel horse power on the touch sensitive front face plate. The box simply mounts under the dash. Each power level also has an embedded submenu that can be accessed by holding down the on/off button. The fuel rating can be altered or delayed to match large injectors or big turbos. This box not only amplifies the fuel solenoid signal, but also manages the injection timing and turbo boost to keep temperatures and black smoke at a minimum, but power at its maximum.

The current 2003 Towpro easily plugs into high pressure fuel sensor and the manifold absolute pressure sensor plugs and increases performance from 40-70 hp and 120-200 pounds of torque. It has 4 different levels for power adjustment. The 1998.5-2002 TowPro plugs into the Cummins ISB data. An increase of 65 Rear Wheel Horse Power and 160 foot pounds of torque is achieved within minutes. The TOWLOC is BD's new programmable transmission and convertor control designed for exhaust brake applications; the most powerful transmission control yet.
The TOWLOC monitors the operation of the vehicle speed, engine speed and engine load to compute the optimum transmission control algorithm. This process controls transmission downshifting as well as torque convertor operation for optimum results. You can also customize the unit for the ultimate transmission control for working your truck with an exhaust retarder and a higher performance engine.
The TowLoc comes preset with all of the following features but can be modified by a BD accredited Diamond installation facility or by an at home technical buff with a personal computer.The electronics are packaged in weather resistant enclosure for the engine compartment that taps into 10 -12 sources for control and sensing. |

For 2000.5 - 2003 Dodge Ram’s Powered by Cummins Diesels The BD Racer Anti De-fueler over rides the Cummins torque management system that limits a high rate of vehicle performance. When 1/4 mile racing with the Cummins 24 valve engine, the Cummins computer limits the amount of torque put out by the engine. This torque management results in a reduction of power that can be felt as a quick momentary decrease of power throughout first and second gear. This drastically hurts your 1/4 mile time and as well seriously jeopardizes your engines drivetrain.
BD’s Racer Anti De-fueler applies to most 2000.5 and newer Xtreme Performance automatic trucks used for 1/4 mile racing. A toggle switch is also included for you to select street mode or race.

The Plug n Power manipulates' the engine tuning parameters through the Can-Bus communication channels. This method of communication is what separates the products offered in North America. These boards have the ability to alter the time of injection and amount of fuel injected while keeping your engine temperatures down when pulling out horsepower increases. Turbo boost control is monitored and tuned to signal the fuel pump to keep working when it normally pulls back because of the stock boost pressure ceiling. No extra fuel is supplied until turbo boost is present ensures no smoke at bottom end.
Separate Turbo boost fittings and waste gate X hooks that capture more turbo boost are also available.
The Plug n Power plugs snap on to the rear of the Bosch fuel pump and onto the MAP sensor. 60 Horsepower programs that have been CARB tested for trailer towing or high
altitude operation are in stock.
For race applications that use XXX Pulse High Flow Injectors or even propane-boosted engines can have customer tailored tuning chosen from the 14+ special files. Calibration centers around the country can program the PnP for your application. |

What good is all this new power if you can`t monitor it? Enter BD`s X Monitor. Its readout mounts inside a nice module that is positioned on the driver`s side A-pillar. Seen are all three functions at the same time: transmission temperature, exhaust temperature and turbo boost pressure. All three have limits, and these numbers are downloaded into the X Monitor. When any are met or exceeded, the monitor face flashes a warning that can`t be missed.
Benefits of installing the XMonitor:

Cummins 5.9 6BTA 12 valve ’91 thru ’98 and ISB 24 valve engines all use BOSCH Injectors to atomize the fuel delivered by the high pressure fuel pump.
We have been rebuilding fuel injection components for 31 years. During this period we have found different Bosch injector nozzles that do flow more fuel and produce more power. Included with the kit is a metered orifice that increases your turbo boost for the exact air fuel ratio.
We now also offer X Pulse Injectors that have been reworked to increase the amount of fuel beyond the stock design. Bosch injectors result in 20-40 Rear Wheel Hp increase depending upon the engine and injector nozzle. The new X Pulse produce 30-50 RHP and we also offer XXX Pulse Injectors that produce 60-90 RHP.
When choosing the XXX Pulse and XXXX Budha Pulse we recommend electronic engine timing and turbocharger ontrols and modifications. These high performance injectors require modifications to drive train to handle the power increase. CORE CHARGES MAY APPLY |

Flowed turbine housings for low and high rpm boost control to match your engine for maximum air control. Waste gated and non waste gated housings are available to match your high horsepower engine.
The stock turbocharger exhaust housing on the 94-98 12 valve engine is a 12 cubic centimeter that performs well on engines that are developing up to 250 hp. Once you are above this rating, the exhaust flow is so high that the stock housing offers a high drive pressure that prevents the boost pressure from entering the combustion chamber. We have a 14 cubic center meter waistegated housing that will handle this extra 250 hp + exhaust volume and reduce the amount of drive pressure required to turn the turbine wheel. In the 1989/90 5.9 6BTA Cummins a 18 cubic centimeter housing is a little to large and the turbo lag can be eliminated with a 16 cubic center housing.
The 91-93 engines have a 20 square center housing and turbo lag is quite obvious. By installing the non-waste gated 16 square centimeter housing, higher boost pressure and our larger injectors can pump the engine up to a 210 hp engine with 22 pounds of boost pressure. |

A simple description of the operation of a turbo is to compare it to an air pump. The ultimate design is for the turbo to reach its peak boost pressure quickly and not create a lot of exhaust backpressure to drive the turbine wheel.
BD can supply a number of less restrictive and quicker responding exhaust housings and a mix of turbos that do a ok job. But the best thing to do is to engineer a new turbo that will have a much broader rpm range that the turbo will be effective at. BD’s new S300 series Air Werks turbos have been engineered for the Dodge Ram Cummins that has had a 75-200 hp modification. The turbine housing, compressor housing and wheels are very unique in there design. The result is low exhaust temperature and a broad responsive range of air flow. We have as well designed a twin compounded turbo kit for 150-300 hp modifications. These turbochargers can reduce smoke emissions, cool exhaust temperatures and deliver more air at lower boost pressures on modified engines like no other turbo kit on the market. The list below tells about all the things that have been done to try to get the Holset turbochargers to work better with out blowing up. Why bother, buy our engineered turbo that out performs all those other attempts. 1989-1993 Cummins 5.9 engines have a variety of large turbine housings that all result in a large turbo lag before boost is developed
All the above years will benefit by changing to a 16 sq cm housing to a non-waste gated turbine housing part #1045910 on stock or engines that have had high flow injectors installed . 1994-1999 stock engines have the 12 sq cm w/g hsg that can be quite restrictive when the power is increased above 300 flywheel HP and results in high exhaust temperature. Changing to the 14 sq cm w/g turbine hsg # 1045920 or the 16-non/w/g hsg #1045910 will reduce temperature and improve engine power.
2001 automatic transmission equipped engines have a 9 or 10 sq cm hsg that is too restrictive for a high power increase (beyond the 300 hp) BD’s new HX35 Turbo is better.
94-02 Race engines developing over 380 plus Fly Wheel hp need BD’s Super turbo that incorporates a larger intake/inducers and larger 4" exhaust/exducer outlet. This larger outlet requires a new 4” down pipe. If you have a turbo-mounted brake you will have to exchange it for a remote mount application. The Turbo Guard blow off valve is required for this turbo.“These turbo’s are for race application and Holset doesn’t warrant a race application.” |

High horsepower engines require modifications to their power train to prevent the transmissions from failing. A stock transmission has limited clutch material and its holding ability can be improved by increasing the amount of clutch apply pressure by reworking the stock valve body.
Our original valve bodies had many modifications that resulted in some odd shifting patterns that required a lot of special tuning to get the shifts just right. In the fall of 2001 we completely revised the modifications of our valve body! A new manual valve was created, new springs and port sizes have been developed, and new governor piston dimensions and adjustments have been made. We have large ports for better flow rates to cool the convertor in lock up as well improving the time to evacuate the convertor for quicker clutch apply time. We are installing new solenoids on all valve bodies.

BD's new Ram 2003 turbo mount exhaust brake casting bolts in place of the existing elbow where it is clamped to the turbo outlet and exhaust system. BD's "Variable orifice technology" has been incorporated into this air engagement design that results in peak retarding power throughout the engine's operating rpm.
The spring loaded air cylinder closes the offset Stainless Steel butterfly and Stainless Steel shaft which rotates in a special bushing material to ensure that the butterfly does not stick closed or open. The butterfly has been positioned in the exhaust brake elbow so when open exhaust flow is not reduced. A threaded port for mounting an exhaust temperature probe and a port with 1/4 SS line connected is a simple method to monitor retarding performance.
BD's lighted on/off toggle switch is wired into an electronic idle verification board for quick exhaust brake engagement. The durable air compressor that is included can also be used for other applications; it's a Ram tuff product.

Exchange Fuel Pumps: BD’s Fuel calibration department is a certified and factory authorized Bosch rebuild center. We rebuild all diesel fuel pumps for; stock applications, high performance street applications, race sled pullers, 1/4 race trucks and land speed racers. Exchange fuel pumps are on the shelf for your truck. Inline P7100 pumps can be set with 2600 rpm, 3000 rpm, and 3800 rpm with stock or up to 500 rear wheel hp.
24 Valve fuel pumps model VP44 are avaiable as exchange untis on our shelf, all cores accepted.

Looking for Big Daddy radical Power? You found it! At least 20 engineers were involved in designing the Fuel Stop Plate and Governor controls. The fuel stop plate controls the fuel quantity of the Bosch P7100 fuel pump that is the heart of the Cummins engine performance. The Governor controls the engine response to load and the maximum engine rpm
. It only took 1 engineer to reverse design the BD Fuel Stop Plate. BD offers 6 different ramp designs of the Fuel Stop Plate that result in 30 to 150 hp and 70 to 300 lbs of torque increase and a calibrated boost tube orifice improves your turbo performance. The Governor kit (new)opens up the engine rpm. Power will control the maximum rpm attainable. If you have power we can reach 3800 rpm. This is not an easy install; you may want to just order an exchange pump after you have determined this is beyond your eyesight and steady hand. BD suggests a 14 cm turbine housing if you are going beyond the 250-hp level. The increased exhaust flow requires a larger turbine housing and should have a larger exhaust system for peak performance. We recommend this kit be installed by one of BD’s dealers. It requires opening up the fuel pump and precise setting of the plate to insure the proper adjustment to prevent over fueling and damage to the engine. Emission testing and certification that meets with California Air Resource Board is constantly being worked on. We do offer products that have CARB certification and others that are for RACE only. Please advise us of your needs. |
