before continuing with installation
- The gauge may be mounted in a 2 1/16” hole in the dash, a
gauge panel or a pod mount made specifically for you vehicle.
- Attach gauge wiring before mounting gauge into hole.
- Run the thermocouple extension wire through the firewall using
an existing hole that has a rubber grommet. Make certain the wire
will not be damaged or rub on any sharp edge while routing or
during use.
- Do not shorten or extend the thermalcouple wire. It is part of
the calibration of your pyrometer. Coil the excess and tie it
loosely with a wire tie in a safe location.
- Mount the thermocouple in the desired location (either in the
turbo downpipe or manifold) using the 1/8” NPT fitting provided.
Make sure the thermocouple wire connections are made away from
engine heat. The connections are color coded and staggered to
insure proper connection.
- Slide black shrink tube over connections. Start engine and
check for proper operation. After engine has cooled you may shrink
or tie off the open end of the shrink tube.
